We are especially passionate about seafood; it’s what Joycelyn, our founder, was brought up surrounded by; her father being a renowned fish-merchant and a family history in the fishing industry dating back to the 18th century. Naturally, this sees our food style lean towards light and fresh seafood dishes. That said, we all love the friendly informality of pubs, so British classics and hearty dishes have their place firmly on the menu. Just as important as the seafood specials, these comforting dishes are a must after a good walk with the dog or with friends, enjoyed sitting by one of our many open fires.
Our menu is written freshly every day, allowing us to make the most of whatever fish and seafood has just been landed alongside the best seasonal and regional produce the market has to offer. As you can see, with our signature seafood sitting alongside the British classics and creative world food, there should be something for everyone.
On Sundays, we add a choice of roasts with all the trimmings from our local farmers and, during game season, you can be sure to find a plentiful game selection on the menu.
